Angel Broadcasting Network’s (ABN) Pure FM has honored two teenagers who saved a 52 year old taxi driver, Akwasi Akowuah from drowning after last week’s rains.
The teenagers, Israel Ackah, 13 years and Chrisman Antwi, 17 years, in the video as earlier reported by Pure FM was seen selflessly saving the drowning man putting their life at risk.
The Management of the station has honored the heroes by gifting them GHC5,000 donation, educational packages including scholarships, citations and other gift packages.
Other packages received from well wishers are a GHC1000 food voucher from Movee Fast Foods, GHC1000 from Hammer Nti of Hammer Productions, a breakfast treat at Sapphire Gardens in Kumasi and many others.
The Management in handing over the cheque noted that they’re honored and touched by the efforts of the teenagers.
“For their selflessness and raising the hope and believe in humanity and patriotism, we find it more than right to honor these heroes of our time.” Business Manager of Pure FM, Kwame Adinkrah noted.
