Afigya Kwabre South Constituency of the Ashanti Region is expressing gratitude to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for retaining former District Chief Executive(DCE), Mr Christain Adu Poku.
A statement issued and signed by the Constituency chairman, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, the constituency expressed gratitude for the honour bestowed on them.
A portion of the statement which was issued moments after the minister for Local Government, Dan Botwe announced the list of MMDCEs at minister’s press briefing on Sunday, September 19, 2021 reads:
“The confidence the president has reposed on the constituency and Christian Adu Poku is in the right direction. Adu Poku is known for his diligence and for that matter will work assiduously to justify your choice.”
“Together with our constituency executives, we say thank you to the President of the land. We’re confident that our nominated DCE will continuously work to make Afigya Kwabre South District the best in the Ashanti region. With a grateful heart, We say thank you Mr President”.
The Local Government Minister has indicated that the list has been forwarded to the various regional ministers.
The regional ministers are expected to contact the Electoral Commission who will commence processes for assembly elections on the various nominees, he said.
